Elizabeth is a Georgia native, born and raised in Tifton. From a very early age she enjoyed a multitude of creative pursuits, from writing novels to painting. Her eye for composition soon turned into a love for photography when, for her 8th birthday, she received her very first film camera. As she toted her camera around everywhere, taking photos of her pets and family members, a love for photography was born.
Fast forward to 2013, Elizabeth fell in love with a young man from her church, and they got married in a fever. They say "when you know, you know", and she knew he was the one God had for her. Together they've been blessed with four beautiful children--Hudson (10), Ford (8), Trent (7), and Claire (2).
In time, the camera got dusted off to document Elizabeth's children as they grew, and it wasn't long before friends were asking her to take their photos too. By 2019, Elizabeth Godwin Photography was born, and it's grown bigger and bigger every year.
Elizabeth now specializes in capturing love stories across Georgia, North Florida, South Carolina, and beyond. Her experience is defined by her fine art style of imagery and laid-back personality that always sets her clients at ease. She puts her full self into each project she takes on.

A year of exponential growth, with 30 EGP weddings photographed across the southeast and over 40 new couples welcomed on board for 2026 + 2027.
I expanded my travel radius outside of South Georgia to include my entire home state as well as North Florida, South Carolina, and beyond. I began taking every opportunity to travel, camera in hand!
After getting the first 100 weddings under my belt, the inquiries began to really flood into my inbox! I made the decision to stop taking family and lifestyle sessions to focus exclusively on my wedding clients.
The timing of the pandemic actually grew my business, as couples were down-sizing their weddings in favor of more intimate celebrations. I booked many "covid weddings", gaining experience and building my portfolio.
I photograph my first wedding in Tifton, Georgia!
My sister and I begin a little photography business we call "Sisters Studio Photography", photographing families, newborns, grads, headshots, and everything in between.
2003
My parents gave me my very first camera, an old Kodak film model, for my 8th birthday and a love for photography was born.
